Get yourself acquainted with the Spirit Airlines Cancellation Policy

Because Spirit Airlines offers inexpensive flight options, many choose it as their preferred airline. It offers services in more than 84 locations across the globe. When forced to cancel their flights, customers are more concerned with Spirit Airlines' cancellation terms and policies than ever before.

What is the Spirit Airlines cancellation policy?

Before you consider canceling your Spirit Airlines flight booking, you must be well acquainted with the cancellation policy of Spirit which states:

• You are entitled to a full refund for the canceled flight if you cancel your Spirit ticket within 24 hours of booking it and the flight is scheduled to depart at least 7 days later.
• You won't get a refund if you cancel your Spirit flight more than 24 hours after making the reservation.
• The Spirit guest managers can assist you in canceling your flight by showing you how to do it offline. Alternatively, you can easily cancel your flight online via the airline's official website.
• You will be required to pay a fee for the service if you use the guest managers' help to cancel your flight.

Spirit Standard Tickets Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel the Standard tickets within 24 hours of booking the flight or if there are at least 60 days before departure, you will be given a full refund. If you cancel your airline reservation outside of the specified window, then:

• Depending on when you cancel, you will be assessed a certain cancellation cost.
• You'll get your refund as a reservation credit that may be applied to future journeys with Spirit.
• Only the traveler for whom the ticket was issued may use the reservation credit.
• It should be noted that you can cancel your Spirit Airlines flight reservation up to one hour prior to takeoff, but you will be charged a cost.

Spirit Award Tickets Cancellation Policy:

Similar to the usual ticket cancellation policy, if you change your mind after the risk-free period of 24 hours, you will have to:

• Pay a fee for cancellation charges based on the time you change your mind.
• Have your refund given back to your account alone.
• You should be aware that Spirit Award tickets can only be canceled over the phone.

Depending on the time you cancel your flight bookings, a Spirit Airlines Cancellation fee may be charged. You must either cancel your flight reservation within the allotted 24 hours or at least 60 days before the flight departure in order to avoid being charged a cancellation fee. If you change your flight plans outside of the specified window, you will be charged a flight cancellation fee of $79 when there are 1-6 days until departure; $59 when there are 7-14 days until departure; $39 when there are 15-59 days until departure; and $0 when there are more than 60 days until departure.

• Next, find and click on the "My Trips" tab that appears in the page's top part.
• After doing so, click "Continue" and provide the passenger's last name and confirmation code.
• You'll now be brought to your Spirit Airlines tickets.
• Choose the airline ticket that requires cancellation.
• Check the flight's specifics before clicking the "Cancel" button.
• You will receive an email confirming the cancellation of your Spirit Airlines flight.

• You are entitled to a full refund of the canceled flight if you cancel your Spirit ticket within 24 hours of making the reservation and the flight is scheduled to depart at least 7 days later. You are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price if your flight is canceled and the airline's substitute flight is unsuitable for you.
• In accordance with Spirit Airlines' cancellation policy, you have three options if your flight is canceled or delayed by more than two hours: Re-booking of your flight (which will be done by the airline) Get Reservation Credit Refund.
• Refunds will be applied to the original form of payment. Additionally, it will be provided as a check for cash refunds.
